The computer then begins to attempt booting from the USB and the problem is that the Windows 10 logo appears but with no loading icon the little loading circles and the process freezes there.

I have waited up to 30 minutes, but no luck. There were some articles and videos I came across that claimed to solve this problem but reading the comments and the feedback proved that said “solutions” were in fact opinions and not technical solutions.

So I passed on those. I’d like to start using 64 bit applications which is why I need to start running Windows on 64 bit but I’m not sure what else to check and try here. Besides, I am not an advanced user. I am interested in correcting the problem rather than going around it. Start your system as is I assume it starts , update BIOS to whatever is the newest version and all other drivers. Use the Manufacturer’s driver update application to do this. Now back up all your data, email, favorites and so on.

Make sure you have everything. If you have a file of software keys make sure you get that. Be certain about your backup because converting to bit is like starting over like starting over with a new drive. That will allow you to install Windows 10 bit. Licensing will be OK from the Licensing Server.

Booting from a USB is a very simple process and when something does not go right – considering the boot USB has been created as per the providers instructions – try creating a boot USB using another method. In my case the official Microsoft tool wouldn’t work, but Rufus did. If I had tried Rufus first, I would have saved myself a lot of time. Sign up to join this community.

Viewed 11k times. The Problem I have a desktop computer running Windows 10 Pro 32 bit. I read somewhere that the problem may have been outdated BIOS software but I don’t remember where from.

I checked this link out but I didn’t try it as our intent is different so I’m not sure if this will work for me. I investigated the problem using Google and YouTube and although many different solutions exist, they all refer to different setups and different boards.

One particular video stated that removing the graphics card would correct the problem but it doesn’t seem right so I didn’t try it. The computer is a custom built one built in Windows 10 was installed as 32 bit by upgrading from Windows 7. I have only ever done Windows updates when the PC prompted me to do so and have never altered any further settings. Happy to provide any further info if needed. Improve this question.

I also recommend capturing a WIM of the current OS partition prior to re-installing you can do so when you boot the Install USB , see Imaging section you could actually follow all the steps in that answer to reinstall Windows – at 4, continue with the install and don’t cancel. By now if you have already successfully installed Windows 10 64 well and good, if not and yet to try any more options I suggest you first check the following.

Now run the Windows 10 installation from USB. An 80 PLUS Bronze certification is the bare minimum, this ensures that halfway decent components were used to achieve that efficiency, although they could still cheap out on some other parts, like capacitor selection.

At that point, they can’t get away with overly cheap components. It certainly would. But that’s a bit overkill on the rated wattage already, your graphics card is quite frugal for example. Check what a be quiet! Straight Power 11 Platinum W would cost, and if it’s cheaper or similarly priced, i would take that instead. It has an even higher efficiency. Ok, so it’s something else. But the PSU you originally had was crap, so it needed replacing anyway. Joined Jun 28, Messages 1, Joined Apr 9, Messages 2, Joined Aug 4, Messages 2.

I have the same problem. Going to test another one on Friday. Haven’t got a clue how such fault happens, but it seems Ryzen CPU power management is overly complex so there are a lot of possible failure points. If it’s the CPU, Linux would flag any errors.

The mouse always worked on the taskbar though. They can both be set to 5, 10, 11, or individually disabled. Windows plug and play should sort out the IRQs of the devices. Posted 26 November – PM. As I got it from my university selling off their excess PCs, it came with no hard drive, but I got and old laptop hard drive working on it. When I try booting to USB, I get the Windows logo, then the spinning circles for a bit, then just the logo indefinitely. I saw conflicting information about the correct settings for Rufus to make my live USB.

Here’s what I tried:. From your description it sounds as if the hard drive from the laptop is trying to boot an OS. Do a clean install per the following guide. It’s for Windows 8 but the steps are the same for Windows I think your iso of Windows 10 is bad.

I would redownload the iso using the Media Creation Tool. I am not sure if the Media Creation Tool would give the option to download the Education version though. The Windows iso Downloader allows you to download the Education Version. Your AV may flag it but it’s a false positive. Posted 28 November – PM. Any other ideas? It seems bizarre that it doesn’t work.

I am not sure why Windows 10 fails on the computer, sorry. Is Ubuntu currently on the hard drive? Do you still have the Ubuntu install disk? We can delete the partitions on the disk using Gparted then create a new GPT partition table.

Windows 10 may pick up the disk and install but I can’t understand what would be preventing the Windows 10 install from booting. Do you have a DVD drive on the computer? See if booting a DVD works. I would also reset your BIOS settings to default. Posted 02 December – PM. Posted 03 December – PM. Now the issue is that on startup, one of two things happen:. It seems any USB devices freeze the computer. Device manger didn’t seem to have updates for the USB driver.
